Try doing the base idle reset. I kinda had the same issue and that's what fixed it

Disconnect the iac and start the car. Play with the idle set screw until the car will idle on its own without dying. then set the idle to the lowest possible setting. Shut off the car. Reconnect the iac & Disconnect the Neg terminal on the battery for 3-5 mins. Start the car back up and let it idle for a few minutes and go drive it. See if that helps.

so when you create a vacuum leak and advance the timing it is ok? The vacuum leak will lean it out some because the engine is sucking in air that is not metered and not adding the fuel it needed for that air. What do the plugs look like without the vacuum leak?

Also clean your salt and pepper plugs.

Try disconnecting your EGR vacuum tube. Plug the tube with a golf tee. See if that helps. Just, curious. I had real bad part throttle surging and bucking issue and this is what I did. The car drives so smooooth now. I know there is still some kind of issue with the EGR opening up to much and I will get back to that soon.
